You upload a file, the service automatically creates several quality versions, and you get a ready player to embed plus content protection tools. There is no video catalogue on the platform, no billion-strong audience and no advertising.

After signing up, upload the video in any way you like: through the browser, through FTP or the TUS protocol for bulk uploads of large files, by importing from Dropbox, Google Drive, OneDrive, Yandex.Disk and Vimeo, or through the API. Then click the name of the uploaded video in your account and you will see the direct mp4 link.

The simplest way is embedding through the embed code. Open the uploaded video in the control panel, copy the player code, adaptive or static, and paste it into the HTML of your site. Yes, Boomstream offers several levels of access restriction: playback only on the domains you specify, access by an individual or a group password, links with a limited lifetime, viewer registration through a form, a limit on the number of devices and a limit on the access period. These tools can be combined for different scenarios.

Boomstream takes a layered approach to protection: HLS streaming with AES encryption, dynamic watermarks carrying the name, email or IP address of the viewer, and domain-based protection. No one can guarantee 100% protection, but the platform creates a serious barrier against mass copying of the content.

The platform accepts video in most modern containers: MP4, MOV, MKV, AVI, WebM. After the upload the system automatically transcodes the file into an adaptive streaming format for optimal delivery to viewers. We recommend uploading files in MP4 or MOV with the H.264 or H.265 codec for the best balance of quality and processing speed.

Boomstream does not limit the total size of your video library — you can upload any number of videos. A single file must not exceed 100 GB. For large files we recommend FTP or the TUS protocol, which support resuming an upload after a dropped connection.

Yes, Boomstream supports importing video from Dropbox, Google Drive, OneDrive, Yandex.Disk, Vimeo and RUTUBE directly, without downloading it to your computer first. To move a video library from another platform contact support — the team will help organise a bulk import and keep the metadata.

Yes, Boomstream is actively used by online schools. Educational projects get private access to lessons by password, single sign-on, integration with LMS platforms — GetCourse, Zenclass, Tilda, Moodle — content protection with dynamic watermarks and bulk uploads through FTP, TUS and the API.

Two types of plans are available:
1) Pay for the resources you consume: an hour of video storage costs 30 roubles a month, an hour of watching an uploaded video costs 3 roubles. Billing is accurate to 10 seconds.
2) A package plan. For example: 25 hours of storage and 1200 hours of viewing. Download protection and branding are included. The price is 2200 roubles a month.

You can create paid access to a video, sell tickets to live streams and to recordings of past broadcasts, and set up subscriptions or one-off payments. Boomstream is a cloud platform that works through the browser. The control panel is adapted for mobile devices so you can upload video and check analytics. Playback uses the adaptive player, which is embedded into your site or into an app through the API. Viewers do not need to install anything.

Once payments stop your videos are kept for another 30 days. After that they are permanently deleted. Before deleting the content Boomstream sends a notice to the email address given at registration.

The Boomstream infrastructure is located in Russia, which means it complies with the personal data law 152-FZ. Video is stored with backups, and delivery to viewers goes through a CDN for stable playback in different regions.
