The Boomstream plugin protects videos and streams from being downloaded on the Moodle platform, displaying a unique watermark with the viewer's data during playback.

How It Works:

The student opens a lesson.
The plugin detects the Boomstream player on the page and sends the student’s data to the Boomstream database.
When the Play button is clicked, the plugin automatically authorizes the student in the player, which then displays watermarks containing: The student’s email, Full name, and The IP address of the viewing device.

1. Configuring Student Data Display in the Boomstream Dashboard: Go to "Password Access" and create a new access entry. Before doing this, fill in the "Seller Contacts" section. This information will not be displayed anywhere but is required.

2. After entering the data, click Create Password Access.

3. On the access creation page, configure the following settings (visible only to you):

Name – Any title.
Expiration Date – Set to 01.01.2099 00:00.
Player Access, Automatically Restore Content Access by Viewer’s IP Address – This option must be disabled!
Number of Password Activations – 10,000.
Ban concurrent multidevice access – Optional. If enabled, the same account cannot watch videos on multiple devices simultaneously.
Show Watermark in Player – Check this box.
Show Buyer’s Email as Watermark – Check this box.
Show Buyer’s IP as Watermark – Check this box. (You can also customize the watermark display in the menu.) Click "Create".

4.Add the desired videos to this access: Check the box next to the video title. Click Add to subscription.. at the bottom.

In the pop-up window, select the Password Access you just created.

5. Publish the player code on Moodle using the JS code.

Final Integration Steps:

1)Install the Boomstream Video Platform plugin Boomstream Video Plarform on your Moodle and configure the required settings (three fields):

Hostname – Your player’s domain (default for all accounts: play.boomstream.com). How to verify: Open your Boomstream dashboard and check the domain listed for any player.

API Key – Found in your Boomstream project settings under "Project Settings" → "Integration". You can use the master API key, but we recommend creating a dedicated key for Moodle. When creating the API key, ensure the type is set to "to write".

Subscription Code – The Password Access code you created in Step 3. Click the name of the Password Access entry and copy the code.
