Two-factor authentication (2FA) via your registered email is now available for accessing your Boomstream personal account. This significantly enhances your account's security. Even if your password is compromised, a malicious actor will not be able to gain access without the one-time code sent to your registered email address. Each code is valid for a short period of time.

How to Enable the New Feature?

Log in to your Boomstream personal account.

Navigate to the profile settings section via the link: https://app.boomstream.com/profile-settings

Enable the "Two-Factor Authentication" option.

After activation, for each subsequent login, you will need to enter a unique one-time code in addition to your password. This code will be automatically sent to the email address specified in your profile.

You can also enable two-factor authentication for sub-users of your account. To do this, go to Account Management → Users and edit the desired user's settings.

What should I do if the email with the code doesn't arrive?
- Check the "Spam" or "Promotions" folder in your mailbox. Also, ensure that your Boomstream profile contains the correct and up-to-date email address.

Can I disable 2FA?
- Yes, this feature can always be disabled in your profile settings.

Is this required for my viewers?
- No. Two-factor authentication applies only to logging into the content owner's personal account. The settings for viewer access to videos (individual or group passwords) remain unchanged and operate independently.
